The greatest action hero (and stunt wonder) of all time is back: Jackie Chan. This is simply the best movie of the year (but of course, it is only the second week of January). If you haven't seen one of Jackie Chan's movies (such as Rumble in the Bronx) then you may not appreciate what all the hooplah is about. Jackie Chan is simply awesome to watch. And he does all of his own stunts which makes others such as Stallone, Van Damme, and Schwarzenegger look like pansies. Furthermore, Jackie Chan's stunts are even more spectacular than those featured in other action films. He is able to scale walls, make crazy jumps, and more. Another aspect of Chan's films is the comedy. When I saw my first Jackie Chan movie, I had no idea what to expect. I certainly did not expect it to be funny. But it was. And this one is not an exception. Credit this to director Stanley Tong. An example of this comedy is the fact that even though the actors can speak English, their voices are sometimes out of sync with their lip movements giving the effect of another foreign film which has been dubbed in English. There are other things as well that will keep you laughing when you are not gasping at one of Chan's stunts. And as always, at the end of the movie is a series of outtakes that are simply amazing. See Jackie get hurt! Your appreciation of him will definitely increase during this time.
