Well, what would you expect from the guys who did Dumb and Dumber and Kingpin? You'd expect something funny and also kind of stupid. But you would never expect that they'd go this far...
I just can't believe that they got away with some of the things that they put in this movie. This movie is sick, disgusting, and mean. But it is also just one of the funniest movies that I have ever seen. There were times when I thought I would never stop laughing. Nothing is sacred to the Farrelly brothers as they make you laugh at the mentally handicapped, the physically handicapped, and other things that I cannot even mention.
But you must see it to understand the above scene in the bathroom with the fireman. (WARNING TO ALL GUYS! One side effect from this movie is nightmares from this scene.) And you must also see it to find out just what is in Mary's hair (shown to the right).
The basic plot of the movie is that there is this girl named Mary (played by the beautiful Cameron Diaz) who is just amazing. Not only is she drop-dead gorgeous but she likes sports and other guy things and does not really care about a guy's looks. So naturally, all the guys want her. Every guy she meets becomes obsessed with her. And these guys will try anything to get her to go out with them. All except Ted (Ben Stiller), who seems to be genuine in his attempts to go out with her.
Who I enjoyed watching the most (besides Mary, whom I would really like to go out with) was Matt Dillon. He plays Pat (nice name) who goes the farthest in trying to win her love. He spies on her, monitors her calls, and transforms himself into her dream man. And it works, for a while...
You have to see this movie. It is very funny.
